PTF-16 piezo switch, 16 mm, flush
The PTF-16 is a compact piezo switch with a flat, flush face 19 mm across on an M16 x 1 mounting thread. The housing is aluminium 6061 T651 or stainless steel 303, 304 or 316. It has no moving parts, is sealed to IP68 and IP69K and rated IK10. It is used in food processing, parking meters, sanitary products, pools and spas, clean rooms, oil and gas, and self-service terminals.

What thread and front diameter does the PTF-16 have?
The PTF-16 mounts on an M16 x 1 thread. The drawing gives a front diameter of 19 mm, a 1 mm front flange and a 20 mm body behind it. The datasheet gives a mounting torque of 2.5 Nm.
Can the PTF-16 be used with gloves or wet hands?
Yes. The PTF-16 datasheet lists activation with gloves and wet hands, and reliable operation with snow and mud.
What output does the PTF-16 give?
As standard the PTF-16 is a normally open momentary switch that gives a pulse of 125 to 300 ms, depending on force, time and speed. N.C. momentary, prolonged and toggle outputs are options. It switches 0 to 24 V AC/DC at 0.2 A as standard, up to 1 A as an option.
