Touch and touchless solutions for the sanitary industry.
Sanitary controls operate where water is the constant. From residential bathrooms to high-traffic commercial restrooms to institutional shower facilities, RNC delivers both Piezo and R-Force touchless technologies engineered for permanent wet environments.
What sanitary controls face.
Four constraints turn up in every sanitary application, whatever the fixture is. Between them they rule out most of the switching technology available.
Where these go.
Residential bathroom and shower.
RNC designs complete shower panels and faucet controls for residential bathrooms. Panels integrate with electronic thermostatic mixing valves via communication protocols, providing precise temperature and flow control through a single seamless metal surface. Faucet controls use individual piezo switches connected to central control systems, no onboard logic required.
- Thermostatic slider and multi-function control
- Multi-output management from one surface
- Protocol integration with mixing valves
- Seamless metal surface, no moving parts
Commercial restrooms and washrooms.
Offices, airports, shopping centers, restaurants. Metered taps, timed faucets, and flush valves that must withstand thousands of activations per day. Vandalism, aggressive cleaning, and constant water contact are standard conditions, and none of them reach anything that moves.
- Anti-vandal flush valves behind a solid metal face
- Metered and timed taps, start-stop or timed flow
- Full restroom panels with lockout and security functions
- Chemical cleaning daily, with no wear path to protect
Commercial showers and institutional facilities.
Schools, sports facilities, swimming pools, military and correctional facilities. The most demanding sanitary segment: direct running water, steam, anti-vandal requirements, and outlets that stand unused for weeks between terms and seasons. This is where a scheduled flush stops being a feature and becomes the reason the control is there.
- Direct running water and steam, permanently
- Scheduled flush on outlets nobody is using
- Lockout to prevent continuous use in unattended facilities
- Battery or mains, for fixtures with no supply of their own
For fixture manufacturers, RNC piezo senses through the product's own surface. Specialized integration projects, developed in close collaboration.
What sets the flush regime.
Four settings describe the flush on a PTF-22-PDC. They are the same four whether they are written over USB, sent from the phone app, or set before the units ship.
A programmable piezo switch engineered for sanitary installations. All logic, timing, and hygiene functions live inside the M22 body: the flush regime above, flow time with start-stop operation, security shut-off, and lockout between uses.
Touch sensitivity adjustable from 0.25N upwards, enabling operation behind metal surfaces up to 3mm thick. Drives both latching and non-latching solenoid valves from a single unit, on battery or mains (6-24V DC). Activation requires just 0.5N, compared to 3-5N for mechanical buttons, far exceeding ADA accessibility requirements.
A communication protocol is available for IoT and building management integration. Hygiene flush and activation events can be output over it, with logging implemented in the host system or as part of a customer program. Self-test and status reporting are available as custom functions, implemented within a customer program. Firmware-based platform supports future features as regulations evolve.
Designed to support compliance with the requirements that apply to sanitary and safety fixtures. Conformity is established for the finished equipment and its installation, not for a control component.
Which documents apply in each market, and how much force each one carries
Dedicated configuration software. Connect via USB to set product type, valve operation, flow timing, hygiene flush intervals, and sensor parameters.
Set the flush cycle from a phone, at the fixture.
The PTF-22-PDC is a PT Plus switch, so it can also be set from an Android phone. Connect to the switch and the app reads the unit in front of you: hygiene flush cycle, flush duration, flush type and flush delay, flow time, security time and the lock times, all in one list.
Nothing on the product changes until you write to it, so a maintenance visit can begin by reading a fixture and watching it run before anything is touched.

Reliable touchless for sanitary applications.
Touchless faucets, urinals, and flush valves are standard in commercial restrooms. But traditional IR sensors have well-known problems: false activations from mirrors and reflective surfaces, inconsistent performance across light and dark objects, accidental triggering by high-visibility workwear, and high maintenance costs. R-Force eliminates these problems.
Where they are already running.
RNC piezo shower panels and PTF-22-PDC switches are deployed in institutional sports and school facilities, operating under daily direct water exposure and Legionella flushing cycles with zero moisture-related failures.
In residential applications, RNC panels are integrated into premium fixture products for European manufacturers.
R-Force touchless sensors are deployed in commercial restroom installations replacing traditional IR sensors with zero false activation complaints.
