Built to last. Built for any environment.
Every RNC piezo switch has no moving parts, is fully sealed, and is rated at 50 million activations. The PT Series covers every mounting format from 16mm to 30mm, in flat, bevel, recessed, illuminated and tactile configurations. Use it as a standard piezo push button or with onboard MCU intelligence via PT Plus.

Six surface formats.
Available from 16mm to 30mm mounting diameter. All formats in PT Series standard or PT Plus intelligent (22mm and above).

Not all piezo switches are built the same.
A piezo switch looks identical on the outside whether it is built well or built cheaply. The difference is inside: how the disc is coupled, how the connections are made, how the sealing holds up after years in the field. These are the things that determine whether your product works reliably at year ten or starts failing at month eighteen.
RNC builds every switch in-house. We control the construction, the materials, and the testing. Every single unit is tested at every stage of production. Not sampling. Every one.

Piezo switches and piezo buttons, explained.
What is a piezo switch?
A piezo switch is a solid-state switch that registers a press through piezoelectric sensing rather than a moving mechanical contact. Because there are no moving parts to wear out, a piezo switch stays fully sealed and keeps working in water, dust, ice, and high-vibration environments. It is also commonly called a piezo button or piezo push button.
Is a piezo button the same as a piezo switch?
Yes. "Piezo button" and "piezo push button" are everyday names for the same component, a piezo switch. RNC's PT Series piezo switches act as push buttons: the user presses the surface, the piezo disc generates a signal, and the switch reports the press, with nothing mechanical to fail.
How long does a piezo switch last?
Every RNC PT Series piezo switch is rated at 50 million actuations. With no moving parts to fatigue and multi-level sealing against moisture, the switch does not degrade the way a mechanical button does. Every unit is 100% tested for activation, electrical, and seal performance before it ships.
Where are piezo push buttons used?
Piezo push buttons are specified wherever a control has to survive what a mechanical button cannot: sanitary and washdown areas, public transport and EV charging, marine and submersible equipment, vending, and heavy industry. RNC piezo switches are sealed to IP69K and rated IK10 against vandalism, in stainless steel or aluminium from 16mm to 30mm.
