Every surface becomes a potential control point.

The technology behind the surface.
Rain and car washes won't set it off. Capacitive touch false-triggers from water, ice, and spray, the exact conditions a car lives in. Solid-state sensing responds to deliberate force and surface deformation, not moisture, so a high-pressure wash reads as nothing while a gloved hand in winter reads the same as a bare fingertip. Algorithmic filtering rejects rain, road vibration, and wash-cycle pressure, so the surface activates only when a person means it to.
Your exterior part. Our technology inside.
Standard exterior parts, handles, emblems, trims, become high-value functional modules. You expand your scope and margin per program. The OEM gets seamless, proven innovation.
RNC provides the sensing technology, integration support, and automotive-grade electronics. You deliver a smarter part.
From concept to series production.
For OEMs: we work directly with your design and engineering teams. For Tier 1 suppliers: we enable you to turn standard exterior parts into high-value functional modules.
Approved for series production.
RNC's solid-state exterior touch technology completed a leading European OEM's full automotive qualification program and was approved for series production. The program covered electrostatic discharge, thermal and humidity cycling, vibration and mechanical shock, and safety.
The technology is in active development with multiple Tier 1 partners for emblem activation, door handle integration, tailgate release, and charging door controls. RNC is ISO 9001 certified, and modules are built to integrate into IATF 16949 Tier 1 production lines.
Products suited to automotive applications.
Built to automotive-grade requirements.
Module specifications for behind-surface integration. Final values are tuned to your part geometry, material, and program.
The +85 °C ceiling is a deliberate exterior-touch safety limit: above it, a body surface can become hot enough to burn skin.
